Privacy policy

This policy explains what information the Akshara Yatra mobile app ("the app"), made by Manvi Labs ("we"), handles and why. The app is a Telugu word game. We built it to need as little of your information as possible.
What we don't collect
The app has no accounts, logins or sign-ups. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location or microphone. We do not run our own servers that receive your data.
What stays on your device
Your game progress (stages finished, coins, streak, words you have found, postcards collected and settings) is stored only on your device. It is never sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it.
Advertising
The app is free and shows ads through Google AdMob: an optional video you can choose to watch for a free hint, and an occasional full-screen ad between stages. To show and measure ads, Google may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device type and ad interactions. Google's use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
- Consent: in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, using Google's consent form.
- iPhone and iPad: if the app asks to track you, you can decline and still play; you will then see non-personalised ads.
- Your choices: you can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your phone's privacy settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
Sharing
When you share a postcard or your proverb result, the app hands an image or text to your phone's share sheet. Where it goes is your choice; nothing is sent to us.
Children
The app is made for general audiences, including families learning Telugu together. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Ads are requested with settings suitable for a general audience.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
